3 PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT LOCIZE COLLECTS AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
Our data processing has various purposes. In principle, we use the data within the scope of customer contact and the fulfilment of the contract, the provision of our offer and the improvement of our online services. This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
We consider Google Analytics to be a third party data processor (see section 6 below). GA is the only used third party data processor used on the website.
The website is hosted on github pages, while the documentation is hosted on gitbook.
We use Cloudflare as CDN and DNS provider, because of this they may track the website to detect and prevent attacks.
We show the official Capterra review badge on our website, it may be they know your web relevant information, like the IP address or user agent information.

Should you choose to contact us using a contact form on one of our pages or an email link like this one "[email protected]", none of the data that you supply will be stored by locize or passed to be processed by any of the third party data processors defined in section 6.0. Instead the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. Should you wish to have your personal data deleted, please email us here using the email address that you used to sign up.
Since we use the network infrastructure from AWS (e.g. AWS CloudFront), it is possible that when you use our optional CDN service to download translations from our locize service, these services temporarily save every access in a log file. Access log data, like the IP address, may be collected and stored by the services mentioned until they are automatically deleted after a couple of days. A detailed list about that data can be found here.
